ETS Surgery – The Pros and Cons of ETS Surgery Revealed

What most people don’t seem to realize is that there are millions of other people who suffer from hyperhidrosis. It is a medical condition wherein the body produces more sweat than what it normally does. This condition can be classified as mild or severe. The treatments available for this condition will be based on the severity.

Other treatment options available for excessive sweating take up time and effort. Especially since you need to research on all of them and select which one would work best for your problem. If you want to instantly and permanently stop sweating excessively on certain areas, then you should probably lean towards the surgical treatments instead of settling for natural yet temporary treatment modalities.

ETS Surgery or Endospcopic Thoracic Sympathectomy is a procedure wherein portions of the body’s sympathetic nervous system is located with the use of an endoscope and they are clamped or cut. This way, the brain won’t be able to connect to the sweat glands, therefore, stopping the production of sweat entirely.

This is classified as a major operation since the patient is put to sleep and the nerves are the ones being clamped or cut. If the procedure was done through cutting the nerve chains, then it is irreversible. But experts claim that given time, the nerves will heal. Another way on how this procedure is done is by clamping the nerve chains with the use of surgical clamps to prevent the sending and receiving of impulses to the brain. This is a reversible procedure though, yet it requires another surgery to remove the clamps which are in place.

ETS surgery is an effective and immediate treatment for the cure of excessive sweating. Like all the other treatment options, it is a must that you read beforehand the positive and negative effects of this surgical procedure before diving in. Find out all that you can about this topic and weigh the benefits. If you have other alternatives, search for all of them.

The positive effect that could come out of this surgical procedure is that it will permanently stop the sweating on that body part. It is definitely a sure fire treatment to ultimately controlling excessive sweating. Another good thing about this procedure also is that it is done once. It’s not like Botox injection treatments wherein you have to schedule appointments to redo the session every 3months.

An adverse effect of the ETS surgery is the compensatory sweating. This is a common after effect which occurs on the lower portions of the body like the legs or the back. This is due to the fact that since the brain recognizes that the body cannot produce sweat, like on the underarms, it will influence the other parts of the body to produce more to compensate for the loss. Other side effects include gustatory sweating, decreased stamina, night sweating and weight gain.

There are other modes of treatments for excessive sweating and not just this surgical procedure. Try and test some of them out. They might just suit your body and help control your sweating problem.

Chelsea Tower Hotel Apartments – Excellent Dubai Accommodation

post-image

Our flight landed on Dubai International Airport, and after collecting our luggage we headed straight to get a taxi which is available just as you step out of the airport. Surprisingly, we reached Chelsea Tower Hotel Apartments in just about 15 minutes. Enroute, got out of the taxi to see the majestic Burj Khalifa Tower with all its grandeur; towering above us.

Check- in process was fairly simple and quick. Diana the receptionist was understanding enough to get over with the process as fast as possible seeing how exhausted we were after the long flight. It was quite a busy time, I suppose, because the lobby was filled with people and that made it look so vibrant. There were 5 lifts so one never had to wait longer than a minute.

Fast forward to the room on the 41st floor, gigantic and beautiful with huge windows and a balcony that overlooked…

How to Make the Best of Your Short Transit Period at Dubai International Airport

post-image

If you are going to be in Dubai in transit or on a layover for a few hours, it’s better to stay in the airport than to venture out to see the city for a number of reasons.  At the top of the list is the fact that the roads in Dubai are notorious for heavy traffic, and if you are caught in a traffic jam it might become very difficult to get back to your terminal in time for your next flight.  Since the airport handles a lot of flight traffic, the crowds at the airport terminals are usually high, which makes it tougher to get to your gate on time.

Lounges

There are many dedicated lounges for various international airlines like the British Airlines, KLM, Star Alliance, Air France and Gulf Air.  Emirates has separate lounges for Business Class and First Class travelers.  In addition to this, you…

Thinking About Filming With a Drone Above Dubai? Think Again

post-image

A guide for film enthusiasts wishing to film from the UAE’s skies.

Its Dubai 2016, and although we do not have flying cars and hover boards (at least, not real ones), we do have flight drones, and lots of them. While most people who own high-end models of drone aircraft do so for professional use, an increasing number of people have purchased the machines simply as toys. What many of them do not know (including a large number of film production companies in Dubai) is that drone usage with a camera within the UAE is illegal, without the correct permissions and permits.

Recently The UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has asked light air sports enthusiasts, including drone enthusiasts, to fly their aircraft only in accredited clubs approved by the authority to address safety and security issues. Most notably, the GCAA also warned drone hobbyists against equipping their vehicles with laser…

Top 5 Cheapest Destinations to Fly to in the USA

post-image

Flights are expensive. I often have enough hotel and car points to get rooms and rentals free, but I’ll still break the bank if I go on the trip because of the flight alone.

The thing is, eventually I wanted to go outside of driving distance. Who doesn’t want to see the world? Luckily, there are certain destinations that are routinely cheaper than others. If you’re able to book early and get the right price, you might get a HUGE break.

1. Chicago: Consistently the cheapest flight price from basically anywhere in the U.S., Chicago is such a mid-country hub that airlines luckily make it easy for virtually anyone to get there. While it’s not the flashiest or biggest city, it does have a lot to offer in terms of sightseeing, especially if you’ve never been!

2. Orlando: Luckily for all us Disney fanatics, Orlando ranks second cheapest for flight prices. This…

The Astrology of "The Day the Music Died"

post-image

On the morning of 3 February 1959, America woke up to the dreadful news that three of its most beloved performers, Buddy Holly, J.P. “The Big Bopper” Richardson and Ritchie Valens, along with the pilot, Roger Peterson, had perished in a plane crash.

Two of these musicians, J. P. “The Big Bopper” Richardson and Ritchie Valens “won” their seats and were never meant to be on that plane. The musicians who gave up their seats, Tommy Allsup and Waylon Jennings (Buddy Holly’s “Crickets”), had very lucky escapes. With Venus opposite Pluto in the chart of the crash, the victims of the crash notably left behind loved ones: Peterson was newly married, Valens, the youngest victim, had a sweetheart named Donna and The Big Bopper left behind his pregnant wife and young child. Holly also left behind a pregnant wife who subsequently miscarried due to the shock of hearing of his…
