Circus Circus Vs Excalibur – Which One Is Better for You?

If you are planning to go to Vegas and are looking for a place which may be suitable for the whole family (where there are children), you are probably going to ponder booking the Circus Circus or the Excalibur, in the hope that your children won’t hate you forever because you dragged them to an adult-oriented place. This page will also discuss pros and cons of these 2 Vegas resorts for the adult-only visitors.

First of all, I have to highlight that Las Vegas (and in particular all the main resorts and casinos), is not the place I would take my children (for reasons that range from the heavy smoke everywhere, to the high level of alcohol-related ‘bad’ behaviour). However, if you really need to take your children there, then you’ll probably want to offer them something that they will also enjoy. Therefore, the budget resorts Circus Circus and Excalibur will be on the shortlist, understandably. But… Which one is best for your family?

In terms of ‘things do to’ for children, Circus Circus has the best set up, thanks to its huge Adventuredome: here you have a wide range of rides which cater to all ages, from toddlers to teenagers; the more sophisticated rides are great fun for adults too and, I must admit, I would have stayed there all day if it weren’t for my partner who literally had to drag me away. Even if you decide not to stay at Circus Circus, if you have children you will probably want to take them there for a full day of fun: they will thank you for it.

However: their pool is small and it certainly does not offer a range of rides which would be ideal for children; the rooms are very clean although I could not describe them as ‘comfortable’ (the mattresses were too hard); the casino is ‘depressing’ in my opinion, although, to be fair, since Circus Circus targets families they might have decided that a casino is not going to be a key factor.

Despite the Disneyesque look, Excalibur is really not suitable for children. Yes, they do have a basement area where children and families can find games to play together, but they certainly cannot even compare to the great Adventuredome of Circus Circus. I view Excalibur as a mediocre compromise for those who seek budget accommodation with something for children in a slightly better location than Circus Circus’. A positive feature is, however, their huge pool area, with a large enough section designed for children, with kids water slides (which can be used by adults too, of course).

The rooms and the corridors at Excalibur could hardly be described ‘child friendly’: all of them are smoking (well, the non-smoking floors have people smoking in the rooms, mostly drunks, and everywhere you go you can smell and breathe smoke, no matter how hard you try not to). If you don’t mind your children breathing smoke, then Excalibur is worth considering by families. However, bear in mind that it’s extremely loud, with semi-naked girls dancing on several casino tables with extremely loud music, and it’s filled with drunk middle age men holidaying on the cheap; we were surrounded by them on the ‘non-smoking floor’ (filled with smoke).

A key positive feature, however, is that the Excalibur casino is undoubtedly much more fun than the one at Circus Circus; children are not allowed on the casinos floors but, if you manage to get a baby sitter whilst you want to gamble nearby, this casino will provide better fun.

What Is Limited Capital?

post-image

What is limited capital, and how can it be used to build a successful business? Many people have great business ideas, but perhaps they lack the required financial power to execute those ideas. However, a lot of individuals have succeeded in business with little capital, and were able to spur themselves to success. To achieve this, an individual must be very determined and ready to make a few sacrifices along the way. Limited capital does not necessarily mean limited growth, limited achievement, and certainly not limited success.

The first and perhaps most important thing when starting a business with limited capital is for you to have a great product. Whether it is a physical product or a service, you must be confident about the product you’re selling. When you are satisfied with the quality of the product you are selling, or the service which you are offering, you can be…

Hotel Security for the Traveler

post-image

The sad truth is that criminals target travelers, especially in and around hotels. The abundance of literature on the topic of hotel security does not seem to have deterred criminals from using hotels as a target of their trade. An informal survey of hotel security staff reveals old patterns of crime repeated and new tricks (or new variations of old tricks) continue as before. There are, however, some practices which can reduce your risk of being the target of crime or other hazards in a hotel.

THE STARTING POINT

The starting point for hotel security consideration begins well before you have checked into the hotel. If you drive to a hotel and park in their garage or parking lot, auto security, luggage protection, and personal safety will be your starting point. If you arrive by cab, your safety in the taxi and care of your luggage will be your starting point….

Great Seasonal Business Idea – Start A Sidewalk Edging Business

post-image

Here is a really great idea for someone who wants to start their own business, start a sidewalk and driveway edging business. Edging is where you use gas powered equipment to trim away the excess growth of grass and dirt over the sidewalks and driveway and then remove the debris to leave the yard looking neat and manicured.

People love the way it makes their yard look but no one really offers it as a stand alone service. Lawn care companies will do it as a service to their own customers who request it but no one concentrates on edging as a stand alone service business.

What this means to you is you can start your own service that people really love and have no competition. Edging sidewalks is not time sensitive like a lawn mowing business where you are committed to the business week after week from…

Rumored Haunted Hotels in America

Hotel Del Coronado: Located just outside San Diego, the hotels haunting seems to center around the tragic love story of Kate Morgan. Disturbances at the hotel range from strange noises, electrical malfunctions, cold spots, and actual sightings of a ghost.

Stanley Hotel: The famous hotel that inspired horror master Stephen King to wring his best selling novel The Shinning. The hotel opened in the early 1900’s and is now known for its…

Those who travel for business are a different breed of traveler than those who do for the leisure of it. Business travelers often expect a higher standard of facilities during their travels than do ordinary travelers. They are there to work and they will not settle for ordinary service.
